Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship scheme (SVMCM) for Minorities

Scheme Type:

Scholarship for meritorious minority students pursuing studies from class XI to Postgraduate in regular courses including Diploma (Polytechnic/Pharmacy.)


To provide support to meritorious minority students for pursuing higher education including in technical/professional degree/diploma courses.

Quantum of Assistance:

Ranging from ₹ 12,ooo/- to ₹ 6o,ooo/- per year depending upon the nature of course

Method of Implementation:
Eligibility Criteria:
  1. Applicant must be domicile of West Bengal and has been continuing education in the recognized institutes situated in West Bengal.
  2. Student should have passed out in the current year from recognized institutions affiliated / accredited to the WBBSE/WBCHSE/WBBME any board or university situated in the State of West Bengal.
  3. Annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakh
  4. Obtained minimum :

i) 75% marks in Higher Secondary/ Graduate Level.

ii) 53% marks in Post Graduate Level/ Honours course at Graduate level.

iii) 55% marks in Graduate Level engineering course.

iv) 45% marks for K3-Kanyashree students.
