State Plan Fund Schemes for Development and Welfare of Minorities

Scheme Type:

Any Infrastructural development scheme which substantially benefit the minorities especially in the field of education, health, rural connectivity.
The focus is given on the following type of schemes.
(i) Additional Class Rooms, Drinking Water Facilities, Toilet Blocks and Boundary Wall etc. for schools having 70% or more minority students.
(ii) Drinking water scheme, stand alone and community units, as per PHE norms in Gram Sansad with 70%or more minority population.
(iii) Small connecting roads in rural areas in gram panchayat sansads having 75% or more population.
(iv) Multipurpose Community Halls in GPs having so% or more population

Objective:

To bridge the critical gap in infrastructure especially in those areas which have sizeable population of minorities but are not covered under MsDP/IMDP

Quantum of Assistance:

Depending upon the nature of schemes as per model estimate wherever available.

Method of Implementation:

The proposal are initiated by the District Magistrates. The projects are forwarded to the MA&ME Department. After preliminary scrutiny and careful examination of the projects fulfilling the criteria envisaged in the guideline, the Projects are approved and fund sanctioned by the Department in two installments. The Second installment is released only after getting the Utilisation Certificates of 1st installment from the concerned District Magistrate.

When and Where to Apply:

The selection of schemes are made by the District Magistrates in consultation with local self Government institution and District level Committee for Minority Affairs(DLCMA)
